The Houston Institute is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a gala event at the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC on Thursday, October 9th. The evening will consist of a reception, dinner, video presentation, entertainment by smooth jazz and R&B artist Vivian Male, and an awards ceremony for several individuals — including Attorney General Eric Holder, Mary Frances Berry, Alan Haymon, Antonia Hernández, and the late John Payton — who have exemplified the courage and commitment to equal opportunity of Charles Hamilton Houston.
This event will be the Houston Institute’s first major fundraiser. Sponsors include: WilmerHale, Major League Baseball, Bloomingdale’s/Macy’s, American Express, PepsiCo, BET, and several individuals.
We still have a limited number of individual seats available for this evening, for $250.00 per person. We will make these seats available on a first come, first serve basis.
