On July 13th, the Pipeline Crisis/Winning Strategies initiative will hold its second summer Forum, concerning the widening achievement gap between young black men and the rest of society. Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the Chelsea Piers (New York City) event, representing nearly every sphere of corporate and public life, including New York’s legal, financial, business, government, academic and media communities.

The Pipeline Crisis/Winning Strategies initiative seeks to pool together the talent, know-how and resources of these sectors to support concrete solutions that combat the alarming rate at which young black men are falling between the cracks. The Forum, which will feature Harvard Law Professor Charles Ogletree as moderator and several expert speakers, will serve as a marketplace of ideas and as an incubator where ideas and actions become solutions.
