‘FYI Films’ works to teach incarcerated youth how to tell their stories

A program that begin in 2002 teaches incarcerated youth the art and craft of film-making. According to the article the program, founded by USC Film School graduate Alex Munuz, ” has taught more than 200 youth and produced more than 50 films.” The films have won critical acclaim but just as important, according to the article, have been screened for a variety of audiences, from law makers to community groups and provide a means for the young people to tell their own stories.
