This report proceeds from the understanding that “Healthy housing is a basic building block for the health and well-being of people, families, and communities” and demonstrates the relationship between housing and health.

The report is focused on improving rental housing conditions by addressing three major themes: the availability of affordable rental housing, the quality of rental housing, and the housing stability of renters.

The report includes 32 recommendations tailored to Milwaukee but applicable to other communities facing housing crisis.
