Police Killings and Police Deaths Are Public Health Data and Can Be Counted

It is shameful that there is no official government data on the number of civilians killed by police officers. This reveals the degree to which underdeveloped communities are criminalized and disparaged. Ending the War on Crime means changing the way that America addresses social problems by approaching realities such as poverty and community instability as public health crises rather than crimes.
