Uber vs. Taxis: Who Does Better in Low-Income Neighborhoods?

One study showed that Uber presents a viable alternative to taxi services for those looking to avoid discrimination. Compared to a taxi ride, UberX is half the price with half the wait time. Furthermore, Uber drivers did not discriminate between poor and rich neighborhoods. Although more studies must be conducted to verify these findings, it shows that Uber has the potential to serve as a more equitable transportation service.
