Public Health

There is growing recognition that housing, education, and employment can all be considered social determinants of health. Indeed, research shows that poverty and environmental toxicity and racism and incarceration all have independent and compounding health effects. This section collects public health research and resources, with a special focus on public health approaches to violence prevention, trauma, and substance use.
