Internet access has been called the “Civil Rights Issue of Our Time.” Here, we will look at this defining issue of our present and future and the way it affects our day-to-day lives both positively and negatively and in ways seen and sometimes unseen.

Whether the issue is data privacy, education, civic participation, policing, employment and participation in the sharing economy, or something new that arises next week, we seek to examine laws and public policy that limit opportunities for economic advancement and highlight and spur debate around strategies for increasing access to the internet and technology, growing civic participation and reducing economic inequality in America’s cities.
